Doctor Lauren Forhecz is originally from Tampa, Florida. She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. She went on to graduate with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2014. She practiced small animal and emergency medicine in Charlotte for ten years, but decided to return home last summer. She has been with Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic since June 2024. 

Her biggest sense of satisfaction comes from providing high-quality, compassionate care for her patients and fostering long-term  relationships with her clients. Dr. Forhecz enjoys all facets of veterinary medicine, but her special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and ultrasonic imaging. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Pomeranian, Pebbles. She also enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and cheering on her favorite team (Go Hokies!).
