When should I have my pet spayed or neutered?
In general, we recommend spaying or neutering small dogs and cats at 6 months of age. With large breed dogs, our doctors will take into account your dog's breed, projected size at maturity, and discuss the possible risk or benefit of delayed sterilization versus certain tumor types and orthopedic conditions.
