Veterinarian
Dr. Shelley Harper
 Dr. Harper is a 1995 graduate of Ohio State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing
in the Tampa Bay area for her entire veterinary career and in the
spring of 2002 opened Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Harper served on the Board of Directors
of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay from 2002-2009. Dr. Harper is a trip leader for World Vets,
a volunteer organization that provides spay/neuter services and
veterinary aid in developing countries. In 2009 Dr. Harper travelled
to Nicaragua twice for spay/neuter projects. In 2010 Dr. Harper
is the trip leader for a spay/neuter project in Costa Rica. Dr. Harper has two
dogs, Stella and Micro, an African grey parrot and 2 red-footed
tortoises. In her spare time, Dr. Harper enjoys scuba diving,
yoga and in-line skating. |
Veterinarian
Dr. Melissa Mueller
 Dr. Mueller is a 1999 graduate of Ohio State
University College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced for 7 years
near Washington D.C. before joining Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic
in 2006. Dr. Mueller has a cat named Milton and a dog
named Frankie. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Humane Society
of Tampa Bay and enjoys kayaking and travel in her spare time. |
Technician Manager
Cheryl
 Cheryl has an A.S. degree from St. Petersburg
College and has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 1998. She joined Hyde Park Vet Clinic in August 2002
and lives in South Tampa with her husband, Tim, and their daughters
Makenzie and Cameryn, and their dog, Max. |
Certified Veterinary Technician
Sara
 Sara came to the Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic
as a volunteer in June 2002 to gain work experience while attending
the Veterinary Technicians Program at St. Petersburg College. She was hired as a veterinary assistant in August
2002 and in January 2004 she became Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic's
second Certified Veterinary Technician. Sara has a Bachelor of Science from the University
of the South and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2004. She
is lives in South Tampa with her husband, Brian, their daughter
Nora, and their cats, Maizy and Milly.

Veterinary Technician
Toni
 Toni was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She
has been working with animals since she was 14. Toni graduated from St. Francis College with
a BA in Psychology, and moved to Florida in 2007. She began working at Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic
in April 2008. Toni lives in Riverview with her 2 dogs, Radar
& and Poncho, and a number of rescued cats. |
Veterinary Technician
Kelly
 Kelly has a BS in Biology from USF and has been
working as a veterinary technician for 15 years. Kelly joined Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic in
April 2008. She lives in St. Pete with her two dogs, Maggie and
Phillie, and a turtle. |
Veterinary Assistant
Annette
 Annette graduated from USF in 2009 with a BS
in Biomedical Science and a BA in Psychology. She joined Hyde Park
Vet Clinic in September 2009 as a veterinary assistant and plans
to apply to vet school in 2010. Annette is originally from Melbourne, Florida
and enjoys traveling, reading, and country music. |
Veterinary Assistant
Veronica
 Formally living in Rochester, New York, Veronica
grew up with a variety of both common and exotic pets. She began
working at the Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic in January 2010 and is
also employed with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Currently she is attending a Veterinary Technician
program with Penn Foster College. She has also done different community
awareness and adoption events while Volunteering with the Hillsborough
County Animal Services. In her free time she enjoys Grooming, Photography,
playing with her cat Salem and going to the dog park with her Miniature
Pincher / Chihuahua mix named Buddy. |
Practice Manager
Helen
 Helen joined our team as the Practice Manager
in June 2010. She received a BS/MS in Health Services Administration
from the University of Evansville, Indiana in 2005. After finishing
her degree, Helen worked as an administrator in human medicine for
a while before embarking on a work abroad adventure in England.
Upon her return to the States in 2007 she found a new passion in
Veterinary Medicine while working as a Practice Manger in Indiana.
In 2009 she completed the Veterinary Management Institute Program
at Purdue University and has enjoyed other opportunities to further
her skills such as the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association
Conference in Toronto and the Western Veterinary Conference in Las
Vegas. For the past year
Helen served as an Adjunct Faculty Member of Vincennes University
in Indiana and she continues to do so as an online course instructor.
The move from Indiana to Florida was a big decision but Helen couldn’t
have found a better spot to be in. She and her American Bulldog,
Leda love their new home here in South Tampa. |
Front Desk Manager
Diane
 Diane moved to Tampa from the east coast of
Florida in 2006 and joined HPVC as the Front Desk Manager in August
of 2006. Diane had worked in the veterinary field for
over 5 years when she joined us and has a bachelor’s degree in criminal
justice from Florida Atlantic University. Diane fosters pets for
the Humane Society on a regular basis and is an experienced baby
squirrel foster mom as well. Diane got married in May 2009. Congrats Diane
and Marc! They live in Tampa with their 3 dogs, Mabel, Kade and
Brody, and their 2 cats, Nina and Diego. |
Receptionist
Greg
 Originally from Virginia, Greg has been a Tampa
resident since 1986 where he worked in the entertainment field at
Busch Gardens and The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. He joined
Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic in May of 2007. Greg resides in South Tampa with his partner,
Dennis, and their dog Rex and their cat Frazier. |
Receptionist
Jean Ann
 Jean Ann is a Florida native and has always
seemed destined for a career that allowed her to express her love
for animals. After working in the business world and attending college
in Long Island, New York and in Tampa, Jean Ann settled in Tampa
to be near family. She joined Hyde Park Vet Clinic in December 2007. Her family in has grown to include her two Labradors,
Madison and Jasper, and a continual stream of foster animals. Jean
Ann enjoys outdoor sports and also works with various volunteer
organizations that round out her busy schedule. |
Veterinary Assistant
Lynn
 Lynn graduated from the University of Tampa
with a BS in Biology. After graduation she spent 4 months volunteering
in South Africa at a Baboon rehabilitation center and raised a baby
baboon. She grew up working or volunteering with animals,
along with training her own. Lynn joined Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic in October
2008 and lives in Tampa with her fiancé, Lee, dog, Tango and cat,
Kiwi. |
